Theme: "Driving the Future of Sustainability in the Coachella Valley"

As a leader in alternative fuel solutions, SunLine's buses are all environmentally friendly. Our 6thursday Annual Fine art Competition is a way for our local youth to larn more than most the advantages of clean energy and the public transit system. Enter a blueprint for a chance to have your artwork on the side of a nothing emission bus. Please read below for contest rules for each grade level:

Competition RULES FOR ELEMENTARY School STUDENTS (GRADES K-5Thursday) AND
Heart School STUDENTS (GRADES half dozen-eightThursday):

• Artwork may include crayons, paint, markers, or colored pencils. No digital media accustomed.

• Art should include buses and landmarks that are unique to the Coachella Valley (for example: windmills).

• The SunLine logo must announced on any drawings of buses.

• Artwork MUST include a written message about how public drives future sustainability for the environment and should be incorporated into the blueprint.

• All words must be spelled correctly.

• The back of the poster must include the post-obit information and information technology must be legible: student'south total proper noun, contact phone number, email address, course level, school proper noun, and teacher's proper name.

• Each educatee may submit only one poster pattern. The design must be original work created by the pupil. The poster must measure eight.five x 11" wide. The design should be laid out horizontally and submitted on regular newspaper or heavy newspaper such as poster or card stock.

CONTEST RULES FOR HIGH School STUDENTS (GRADES 9-12th):

• Artwork may be composed of digital media (photography, graphic design) or traditional artwork (paint, markers or colored pencils).

• Art should include buses and landmarks that are unique to the Coachella Valley (for instance: windmills).

• The SunLine logo must appear on any drawings or photos of buses.

• Artwork MUST include a written bulletin nigh how public drives hereafter sustainability for the environment and should exist incorporated into the design.

Of import INFORMATION ABOUT SUBMISSION:

Submission: Upload artwork images at www.SunLine.org/studentart (see bottom of page)

Keeping Artwork: All students MUST keep their artwork submission until the results accept been announced. The finalists will be provided an envelope to mail their artwork to SunLine. This is a requirement to have your artwork placed on a charabanc or bus shelter.

WINNER ANNOUNCEMENTS:

A winner will exist determined from each of the class level categories for a total of 3 (3) first place winners.

The first place winners will have his or her artwork fully wrapped on a hydrogen electric fuel cell bus. The winning entry will likewise exist posted on SunLine'due south website, SunLine.org, or other printed/ digital materials. The 2nd and third place winners will accept his or her artwork displayed at a local motorbus shelter in the Coachella Valley.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

All artwork becomes the property of SunLine Transit Bureau and may be used for ad, sales or promotional purposes that may include regional media coverage with appropriate credit to the artist.
